The shopping site is the worst mainstream shopping site. Find stuff is hell. It’s missing criteria, finding the shipping time / cost when comparing products is painful.

Shipping is fast and prices are good, but you’re never quite sure you ordered the right size / color / edition.

You can probably put a catenary with wheels on top of your boat and alongside to forward sides to ensure pushing it against the roof pushes your boat forward.

I thought the author meant gravity.

You might run into time of use contention unless you have a ver diversified crop neighborhood or adaptable robot. Don’t harvests usually happens at the same time for all the same species of crop in an area?

It’s also possible it’s like that because the city and apartments they are familiar with suck. I used to live in a small, admittedly rich, city, and had all amenities within 7 minutes walk, park within 3 minute walk. The city policy is that there is a primary school within kids walking distance. We had 4 apartments in the city with these characteristics, and didn’t hear the neighbors (much) except for the above neighbors heels in one of them.

Uninhabited land is empty of people for a reason: - it’s protected - it’s undesirable (too hot/ dry/wet/far/steep/close to a pollution source) - it’s agricultural land

If it’s not any of these it’s owned and thus controlled by someone.

Its owned and controlled by ppl who have millions of square meters for themselves.

^this is the real issue.

But we dont want to tackle the real issue of few ppl wanting to own the whole world :)

If we cut out that cancer ppl everyone on Earth could have a lot better living standards than we do now.

Yes the issue are ultra rich and yes they will propaganda everything to hide it keep it safe.

> Uninhabited land is empty of people for a reason: - it’s protected

Almost the entirety of coastal California (and Oregon and WA as well.) It's insane. It's the best climate on the planet and the most protected from climate change.

Some of those reason might be change by government policy.

I think there are some stories about how developing nations didn’t have to setup copper wiring all over the back country for the rural development of communication network and could just set up using cellular towers. Sometime using 10 or 15 year old tech is greener than what the west was doing at the same economic development point.

Let’s just hope China doesn’t collapse then. We need to produce more panels in more places, however high startup and supply chain setup costs with falling market prices means it’s leading to only established players or national strategic investing.

Or like, affordable renewables and reforestation. Also we need to cool the oceans ASAP so they can recover their carbon sequestration capacity. Maybe we could use the negative spot price of renewables to cool the coastal waters as a form of geo engineering.

Reforestation is a scam, the total biomass of all plants on earth is about 450 billion tons.[1] Global CO2 emissions are on the order of 55 billion tons a year. The only way reforestation is going to matter is if we cut down all the trees globally and regrow them completely every 10 years, which uh seems unlikely.

Edit: that being said I do like forests, not because of the CO2 reduction, but because they're nice places.

Reforestation does not need to account for 100% of emissions in order to be considered “not a scam”

So they can keep the oil for themselves. “Look what this oil dependency makes us do! Don’t fall into that trap! (And anyway it’s ours!)”
