Pretty good! I tried it with some random cross-genre combinations of stuff I like and it found a bunch of other fairly niche bands I like. Looking forward to trying out the other recommendations. Works fine for genres other than punk & metal btw.

Blog post below on how the hate5six creator made this algorithm. Boils down to using the lyrics and community listening habits from last.fm to build a similarity graph for artists, then community detection to group similar artists.

I was surprised that this was included in the post. More often than not, it has broken installs for my relatives (which in turn I had to fix over the holiday).

In the winter here, I tend to slide around corners, too. I live in a rural area, so it's not too dangerous, but it's something to do.

Definitely fun, but do keep in mind the amount of noise that generates and keep it to a minimum when within a mile of people. I used to live on a rural road with like six other houses, and people going 100 down a 35 with houses does get kind of old.

I have my favorite empty county roads. No houses for miles, great visibility. I prefer going to the south and driving on old banked mountain roads, though. Most people can't even get to the speed limit safely on those.

Yeah, those are the only two peering points in the area. There are tons of other data centers in the area, but these are also exchanges. Fun fact, Markley Group actually owns that whole building and Macy's is a tenant of theirs. I've had a few super weird and interesting conversations with drunk/high people when badging into the building late at night when I had gear in there.
