Things people do for Vaastu Compliance! /jk

Lol, I don't think that is necessary. He has already bought his free speech with the ~9% stake.

I had read somewhere that a lot of waste(supposedly recyclable) from the US ends up in these poorer asian countries. These countries that actually don't have a lot invested in high efficient recycling systems.

But this article just shows the data where the water gets polluted from mismanaged waste. But not where this plastic comes from? I suppose it's not the full story then?

I've been reading up on this stuff for a while. Most of the waste is actually single use plastics from products consumed in the emitting countries, that are disposed of improperly. For example, the Philippines has an issue with sachets.

Just look at the article. This article states that a large percentage of the waste comes from nets lines and ropes. That is absurd on the face of it. This isn't a fact-based exercise.

Privatization spurred tremendous increase in efficiencies. SpaceX rocket material is much more fuel efficient, significantly more re-usable. Even the blue origin rocket landed on it's feet yesterday.

Burqas?

Headline is misleading. A fair number of launches are pushed back due to a number of reasons and this is definitely worthwhile mentioning in the article itself. But mentioning "on second try" in the title itself is misleading as you can see in the comments where multiple people were led to believe that the first attempt was a failure instead of an abort (which isn't a failure).

"India Launches Chandrayaan-2 Moon Mission" is a more unbiased title in my opinion.

Not really. It is usually the case where a lot of young men/women come here for their master's at the age of 22-23. And typically get married around 28-32, so this would be very useful for the spouse who wants to continue their career here.

I found the last part about SPMs and anti-inflammatory molecules, very interesting and encouraging. Being a colitis patient, I have found out in my own experiments, that eating a diet rich in well sourced fish and chicken decreases my inflammatory symptoms and is very filling at the same time.

I found that gluten irritated my Crohns.

I recently started Remicade - it reduces the immune system to try to stop the auto-immune problem that is Crohns. It was eye opening what other little aches and pains went away once the immune system was turned down a bit and the inflammation was lowered

Certainly the extra inflammation was causing other problems where the inflammation is the main cause.

How has this affected other critical processes of the immune system such as fighting infection?

We should think about investing in smoke/heat sensors that can broadcast an emergency signal that can be placed in the wilderness areas close to human habitation. Just thinking through here, we need to determine the max radius of fire that can be confidently contained by the nearest fire department (taking into consideration some metrics such as time taken to reach the spot, how prone the area is for fire, wind speed averages, number/ability of the fire safety crew). Place a pole at the edge of such radius with sensors at different height , inbuilt GPS, and ability to broadcast its status to a remote control room. The number of poles in an area can be based on the above metrics.

I understand that some wood fires that start naturally, actually are part of the natural cycle and is necessary. So remote areas could be spared, but still monitored to check its spread.

Maybe a combination of such sensors and satellite data can help catch a fire when it is still small enough to be contained.

No. Manage the forests better. Don’t build in fire prone areas. A forest fire burning down your house is a warning from Mother Nature, not an attack.

Your system will just let debris build up even longer, leading to even bigger fires.

That might not work for already existing constructions.

The system can be designed to not add to the fire, we can possibly add this to the already existing power infrastructure.

This is a solvable problem.

I have worked with multiple American senior engineers who are not as technically proficient and productive as junior foreign labor. What you are saying is anecdotal.

This is true for your second point, specifically pointing out that asians hire other asians. This is true for white Americans as well. So, how is that any different?
