This is quite bad advice, coming from an old guy.

This is an awful and heartbreaking situation. Wishing the Palestinian people the strength to endure this difficult time and hoping for a future where peace and justice prevail.

Could you please clarify what you mean by ‘AI’?

By "AI" here I mean cameras that support running machine vision models directly on the device. We provide the device and firmware, and then on the application and model level it is up to the user.

Are there any alternatives? In german speaking countries we have GEO magazine, but IMO the quality is also decreasing every year.

Are all those things indeed decreasing quality, or are we all getting old and missing those "old times"? As teenagers we definitely had different expectations from newspapers, music, life in general... maybe we are just not their target anymore.

Yeah, in France I grew up on Geo.

Then National Geographic showed up when I was teenager but it started to enshitify rather quickly with sensationalism and cliffhanger.

Just this year the publisher of GEO (Gruner+Jahr) axed most of the special edition series of GEO like GEO Wissen and GEO Epoche.

A bit off topic, but does anyone know what tool the author uses to display the stats at the top of the terminal?

It's the iTerm2 built-in status bar: https://iterm2.com/3.3/documentation-status-bar.html

Oh, I missed this feature. Thank you very much!

Care to explain?

So we need monkeys with 100 arms, got it.

But with "background app refresh disabled", other apps (except maybe the ones from Apple) shouldn't be able to make any requests?

I'm curious, do you mind explaining, what a top 10 university is (e.g. ranked by students, number of published papers etc.)? FYI, the ETH is also considered as a top 10 university (top 6 actually according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QS_World_University_Rankings)

If the comment was made by a professor in the U.S., it could have meant "top 10 <in the field> in North America".
