I've been watching macran's stream on youtube in the last couple of days, where he had to fix a lot of stuff so this notebook can come to life. If you are intrested in ARM/bootloader/linux/drivers, I highly recommend the stream recordings.

Mind linking me to their channel?

I had the same question and I found this: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxS98ISZNcuaJRCvy6JV6Fw

i really like to develop software on my MBP, i must be in the 1% then :\

Does anyone know some similarly good source on food science? This is interesting.

There was a book published ... years ago ... author interviewed on Fresh Air circa 2001. Let me see if I can track it down....

Russ Parsons, How to Read a French Fry, 2001.

Respect to the Rust docs team.

Unfortunately, the rust std docs are not my favourite. I think i'm much more comfortable in other's languages docs. I really like the examples, like in c++.

Maybe I just don't know hot to use them.

Is it Intel only? Why is it advertised this way?

No idea, it was probably sponsored by them but the concept should be the same for AMD and others too.

EDIT: here's a bit more context (they've been contacted by Intel after publishing initial PoC)

as i see, amd will still be more efficient in practice.

FF got so much better on osx lately. Now it consumes as much battery as chrome for me.

Ah interesting, I may have to revisit in that case as it has been a while since I tried it on OSX.

> I’m lucky enough to have a PC that boasts 32GB of the stuff. Now, that amount of RAM is – to be honest – overkill for most things I use my PC for.

You should not care about how much ram chrome consume if you have 32gb, however i think you should switch to firefox if you care about your privacy and the future of the web.

You shouldn't _have_ to care but the reality is, if you use your systems and chrome eats 4GB+, then you do care. Chrome regularly consumes a major percentage of my available RAM and I have 32GB.

isnt that why you have ram? to use it?

Yes but not for google apps, slack and a browser full of bloat. I have all this RAM for the actual engineering I do.

I'm with you on this, Firefox for osx is in very bad shape, i can only use it on my strong imac. Chrome had to stay on macbook :(

Firefox, not the hero we deserve, but what we need.
