You can solve the problem easily if you get hold of the cellphone data of the involved parties. If cellphones get together after date, it was successful. If cellphones spend the night in the same location, I'll call it a 5 star. The cherry on top would be that if you have GPS on both phones you can also get the bathroom moment.
Don't worry about economies in EU, we've done a really good job in hamstringing with "social" policies. Compared with other countries law enforcement in US is pretty decent.
The one thing governments are very good at is solving the violence problem. It pays off really good not to have half of male population killed by the other half.
The whole 20th century was total mess for Europe and the East. That there were no global wars after 2000 doesn't mean 21st century will be less horrible, given the amount of warfare present.
afaik, the number of wars are getting lower and lower. The same with really poor people.
Also, democracies are increasing in number, so there should be less wars -- the democratic peace theory seems to have good statistical support (see Wikipedia).
I think we should coin a term like "web architect" for designers that can code because coding is not something unrelated to your work, it's the thing that makes your work come to life. It's like an architect knows material resistance and other construction engineering stuff so he can make truly amazing buildings.
He designs an engine system. He scraps gearbox and transmission and replaces it with generator and electric motors. At 1:04 he says he will just stick the generator at the back and worry only about producing the required power.
Right, he says you will need to have electric motors to at least assist (hybrid technology) with rapid acceleration. Apparently this engine is probably very efficient at a fixed speed/rpm, and doesn't provide the torque of an ICE.
The article is not about bandwidth but about the amount of data you can download at a reasonable price. People are actually willing to spend more time downloading something instead spending more money.
The amount of data, when aggregated over many people, adds up to bandwidth of network needed.
An ISP's customers, all added together, are downloading a certain amount per month. That is, a certain amount of data per time period -- which is bandwidth.
I've heard an interesting argument that states education has become the number one reason for one's under-achievements in today's society (like sinning in the middle ages). The point is that education will always be bad and a LOT of people have and idea (usually wrong) about how to improve it.
I don't know the math, but empirical data seems to confirm the hypothesis so maybe someone can provide the math name of the special hole.
