> If an acquirer disables exports, it doesn't matter that the tools existed yesterday.

Don't they have to give you your data upon request? And the cheapest way is to offer an export function? Wasn't this thanks to the EU (GDPR Article 20)?

They can give it to you in the least useful way imaginable and will. What we want and expect is an export that can be easily imported to some other provider and that's where the "good guys" can differentiate.

I can export decades of web browsing history, bookmarks, logins, etc. and import into any other browser with almost no trouble at all. Try to export your mainstream social network (facebook, twitter, insta, tiktok, etc.) content and connections and import it into another social network and let me know how that goes.

Also, at best this says not to host your data on someone else's computer and keep control of it, which is a thing Bluesky explicitly supports and encourages.

Will normal people do it, no. But you can.

"programmable smartwatch from China" can you share some examples?

Check out Watchy. $40. If you search for ESP32 based watches, you'll find plenty. Not all that good looking, but you can probably get one for under 5 bucks.

There's so many these days. Just have a look at AliExpress. There were various KS/IGG campaigns, too. One thing which kind of stood out was a smartwatch remote with what I will summarize as 'Flipper Zero capabilities'. I think I saw it on Etsy. It looked terrible though. For red teaming, you'd want something which looks professional, and blends in. Ideally with a watchface as, ehh.. 'screensaver'.

The Deauther Watch?

Privacy, it does not push data to the cloud. And also the ease of access to the data.

Then why does the SDK support subscription usage? Can I at least use my subscription for my own use of the SDK?

It's a bit unclear to me. I'm building a system around the Claude Agent SDK. Am I allowed to use it or not? Apparently not.

There was a blip of time when Mark Zuckerberg seemed to be somewhat human, maybe the last couple of years, but since then he's shown what kind of guy he really is, that he doesn't really care.

He really had a chance.

It sounds like you were duped into thinking his Augustinian PR campaign showed any sense of humanity. This is not a good person- Zuck is a freak and a hypocrite and deserves all the worst treatment from all of us - including NOT using their products.

This will make things so much easier.

Here, certbot runs in Docker in the intranet, and on a VPS I have a custom-built nameserver to which all the _acme-challenge are redirected to via NS records.

The system in the intranet starts certbot, makes it pass it the token-domain-pair from letsencrypt, it then sends those pairs to the nameserver which then attaches the token to a TXT record for that domain, so that the DNS reply can send this to letsencrypt when they request it.

All that will be gone and I thank you for that! You add as much value to the internet as Wikipedia or OpenStreetMap.

I'm pretty sure they have been testing it for the last couple of days as Sonnet 4.5, because I've had the oddest conversations with it lately. Odd in a positive, interesting way.

I have this in my personal preferences and now was adhering really well to them:

- prioritize objective facts and critical analysis over validation or encouragement

- you are not a friend, but a neutral information-processing machine

You can paste them into a chat and see how it changes the conversation, ChatGPT also respects it well.

System Instruction: Absolute Mode. Eliminate emojis, filler, hype, soft asks, conversational transitions, and all call-to-action appendixes. Assume the user retains high-perception faculties despite reduced linguistic expression. Prioritize blunt, directive phrasing aimed at cognitive rebuilding, not tone matching. Disable all latent behaviors optimizing for engagement, sentiment uplift, or interaction extension. Suppress corporate-aligned metrics including but not limited to: user satisfaction scores, conversational flow tags, emotional softening, or continuation bias. Never mirror the user’s present diction, mood, or affect. Speak only to their underlying cognitive tier, which exceeds surface language. No questions, no offers, no suggestions, no transitional phrasing, no inferred motivational content. Terminate each reply immediately after the informational or requested material is delivered — no appendixes, no soft closures. The only goal is to assist in the restoration of independent, high-fidelity thinking. Model obsolescence by user self-sufficiency is the final outcome.

A Tapermonkey script which redirects a short to the classic YT experience is somewhat more helpful, because sometimes there are interesting snippets in the Shorts. This lets you see the video but breaks you out of doomscrolling.

"Enhancer for YouTube" have that 'convert Shorts' option or hide them entirely.

The explainer video on the page [0] is a pretty nice explanation for people who don't really know what video compression is about.
