Hello all, i'm the author of this piece. I wanted to share some of the mental models i've learned through the years on how to capture and adapt other people's ideas, habits and even personalities in a way that helped me identify my own ways of doing things. I think the HN community will enjoy this. - Adrian R

Amazon Hunt.

A solution for tracking the number of sales of different products on amazon and how much merchants are making.

Never got the nerve to actually sell it and not sure if I will do anything with it. http://www.amzhunt.com/

I work at a publishing company and I have been seeing more researcher interest in this paper recently from 2010 - Zn2+ inhibits coronavirus and arterivirus RNA polymerase activity in vitro and zinc ionophores block the replication of these viruses in cell culture - https://journals.plos.org/plospathogens/article?id=10.1371/j...

Have there been observed correlations with zinc deficient patients?

Setting aside protected time sounds like a good idea. Simple.

I never thought of actually putting it on the lean canvas grid for people to view that way. I always assumed it would be more tedious to read the lean canvas on a screen.

I very much agree. We recently did a dive into this business model to see if it solves a problem people would genuinely pay for. https://medium.com/lean-canvas-takedown/why-ar-fails-blippar...

Short answer: no it doesn't.

Also worth reading (though in Japanese) - Effect of Reading a Book on a Tablet Computer on Cerebral Blood Flow in the Prefrontal Cortex (2018) - https://www.jstage.jst.go.jp/article/jjh/73/1/73_39/_pdf/-ch...

Showed increased brain activity (increase in regional cerebral blood flow) was observed following reading a novel on a tablet computer compared with that after reading a printed book.

Specifically for pixels-disturbing-sleep problem there is this very useful app: https://justgetflux.com/

But can we conclude from this that pixels disturb brain in general? Maybe the increased brain blood flow is good during waking hours?
