recently I have seen more and more of such coming from Anthropic (AI constitution for example also) - which is good I think, need to discuss those things and effect on our today and tomorrow

the only major thing I disagree there is making it political - i.e. we, the good guys, should be guarding it versus China (or Russia etc) who will surely use it in a dark way

the question here is really global I think, and should be treated as such - all his points are very valid questions indeed..

on AI country (will it become Sky net?) and security (crazy weirdos making bio weapons using AI?) and unemployment caused by it (what are we going to do soon?) and abuse of power by governments using it (even things like Palantir and similar initiatives) plus social implications (brain rot? or adjustment to new reality)

Yeah, I feel that. But I promise you, within one week I had one single regret: that I had not done this years ago.

Also, I very much recommend using your own domain. It greatly eases the feeling of having to commit, because your email address is not tied to your provider. That is, if you ever decide fastmail is not for you, next time the switch will be invisible to everyone else.

I think they also lay extra fiber strings for that reason as well, most cost is doing this, some extra wires will always be helpful !

Will Nova become open source?

We know this matters to many of you. It is something we are actively evaluating. Open sourcing a product responsibly involves licensing, security, build tooling, contribution workflow, and trademark stewardship. We do not have a decision to share yet, but we will be transparent once we do.

well maybe the world is indeed back to different spheres of influence, as per the latest US security policy

overall it should make the world a bit more stable hopefully, and locally of course it would make more sense for Venezuela to be in bed with US, rather than far away giants

stop dilution our attention - shorts, infinite scrolls, predatory algorithms - this needs to be controlled really

and yeah of course scams and pedos etc - surely Big Tech can crack down on that also

again why a good behaving majority needs to suffer, because of minority crap + bad incentives of ads driven platforms?
