It's simply wrong to assume people would gladly want to be exposed to ads in general. The only unethical thing here is to call people unethical who simply decide not to participate in ad viewing.


Good article. One thing to make clear here is a memory leak is not occurring on a retain cycle. The correct terminology is abandoned memory. When memory actually isn't freed and no longer usable as there are potentially no references anymore. It has been discussed on occasion at WWDC. I believe it was in 2011, around the time they introduced ARC.

Another example of Quebec being a totalitarian regime. A bit different from some others in this world though. A place where one can increase funding for a language Gestapo, who fines restaurant owners who don't properly translate pasta in their menu, while cutting social spending. All for the benefit of the residents. Go Quebec!


Better post the French translation of this rant soon, or suffer the consequences :)
