I can relate ente in Malayalam ️️

We are now a 10 member team. Telegram is perfect for as at this stage. We use bots for reports CI/CD logs. Support logs etc

Thanks for your feedback. We seen lot of startup leveraging chromium desktop apps, which reduces additional work/bug for supporting multiple browsers. Additionally some users prefer desktop apps over webapp which is a click away. For example we have over 3000+ apps created for asana alone with our free tool [https://appmaker.xyz/web2desk/].

We are offering webapp to android from here https://appmaker.xyz/webapp

Yea, It wraps website in electron.

So why charge for it if it's just reusing an open-source tool?

We're not charging for the service we are providing not for electron. Here is the free version we are providing without installer and updates [https://appmaker.xyz/web2desk/]. Anyone can use electron and build a desktop app for their webapp. They'll have to make installer and manage updates by them self. What we are doing is we'll manage all of those for a monthly price. Technically we're are not billing for electron, We are billing for the service we provide

Hope this answer

Hey HackerNews readers,

We're super excited to introduce Web2Desk Business.

Now Businesses and Startups can easily convert existing WebApps into Desktop apps that are compatible with Mac, Linux and Windows. And the best part is you only need to optimise your WebApp just for Chromium.

Some use cases: 🧰 Productivity Tools SaaS products 🧳 Enterprise Solutions ERPs and Softwares

8 months ago, we launched Web2Desk (https://appmaker.xyz/web2desk/). Started out as Weekend project, Web2Desk got us featured on LifeHacker, Windows Club, Asana Training and many out there. Our users have created over 25,000 desktop apps till today and continue to grow daily.

We found many of our users were startups and entrepreneurs creating Desktop apps for their products, of which most often required installer, updates and support from our end. Web2Desk being a free product had its own limitations.

Thus Web2Desk for Business was born. Now businesses can look no further to create Desktop Apps along with Installers for their Webapps that’s supported on Mac, Linux and Windows.

You probably have a few websites that you use all the time. perhaps Mail, customer support ticket system that you need for work, a time-tracking site you use to track and bill hours for clients, or a web game you just can’t get enough of. If you’re tired of pulling up your browser each time you need to access it, you have an alternative: transform it into an app.

Web2Desk is a tool to convert your favorite websites to the Desktop app in just one click. Regardless of Platform( OSX, Linux, Windows). And its free

Looking forward to the feedback

Charles proxy works only for local development as proxy for all your network.

intercept.rest monitor only request sent by your client to your server and it is easier to setup (just change the API endpoint), works both locally and in staging/production etc.

Some use cases are :-

- When you give an app to the client for testing and you wanted to monitor the API calls and its responses for debugging purposes.

- It can also be used to debug webhooks,

- You can also choose to share all the data with your team members without additional setup.

Glad you liked it, All are running on node js server. + react js. We build this for our internal purpose, right now request/response is not encrypted. This is we should have done in first place. (WIP). We have desktop apps which work offline on the local machine. We offer self-hosted in our enterprise plan. You can email me saleeh at intercept.rest.

I'm running a startup appmaker.xyz as fulltime. This is a simple tool that we build for our usecase

This is what exactly happened.
