It happened to me one in the desert, at night. I have blindly followed Google Maps, and I ended up without a signal, in a middle of no where. Luckily, I was not very far from the city.

Agriculture. With global warming changing traditional farming, the knowledge and expertise of local farmers is not relevant.

Thanks to those who worked tirelessly to work on Open Source projects.

That doesn't change the fact that there were many people in SV at the time. Arguably, Sam and the team did very well.

You're just making my point for me because what you wrote is the definition of survivorship bias.

These lectures are timeless. The advises in there are still valuable in .net era.

It's not a criticism. It's standard practice to put the year in the title on HN for older articles so as to give context.

Gott yo :)

Just to add to this comment. If users can't watch/read, you can listen to podcasts while you run or drive a car, it can help you to understand how people try to build a business. There was a podcast (How to Start a Startup | Podcast on Spotify) . On that note, I enjoyed also listening to those who are building projects, and share their journeys e.g. Nathan's interviews with SaaS founders (https://nathanlatka.com/podcast-thetop/) and The Startup podcast(https://gimletmedia.com/shows/startup)

Is there any similar summary available from a UK government source?

The UK government prepared this:

https://www.scribd.com/document/489048219/Government-Analysi...

It was leaked, but then the government decided not to release it, likely because it's nonsense.

That document is shameful, treating a partnership negotiation as a competition between sports teams instead of service to their people.

BBC, you failed us here.

Nice work! What is the logic behind choosing the corpora https://github.com/sofignatova/02books/tree/master/corpora_c..., I could find some links in the comments but what was your strategy in picking words/sentences.

What are the main advantages compared to Airflow. We use Airflow to orchestrate ML jobs/tasks, and I found it to be more flexible comparing other tools we tested.

Metaflow is largely complementary to a job scheduler like Airflow. Technically you could export Metaflow workflows to Airflow, although the specific integration doesn't exist yet. For more details, see this blog article https://netflixtechblog.com/unbundling-data-science-workflow...
