Nvidia drivers leave a bit to be desired on Linux imo. I’ve got an all AMD HTPC right now and bazzite is terrific.

You can expose a REPL socket from a running clojure instance in whatever environment you choose. Biff has this as a marketed feature, described on this page: https://biffweb.com/docs/reference/production/

Thanks for the link.

Is this a regular way to deploy?

I mean, I saw there is Leinen or something like that for package management.

But once you run, you could still connect to an app that has been run in the usual way? Seems like a setup on top of it.

Or is is just independent?

It's regular, every production Clojure system has REPL access for devs.

You don't need it often, but when you do, it's invaluable. And the REPL is such a normal thing to use in Clojure, there's no reason not to do it.

This page should give you the answer: https://nrepl.org/nrepl/usage/server.html

Absolutely. I had imagined green hydrogen production or something similarly intensive to be the solution.

Reminds me of the Rich Hickey post Open Source is Not About You.

Your recent post on using datastar with SSE to power game of life [1] was excellent. Thanks for writing it!

Thank you! I've been meaning to write one on the nitty gritty of virtual scroll, hopefully I'll find some time next month.

That would be great to see. Likewise more details about your custom compression settings.

I had my own company previously and I found it hard to detangle that commercial mindset from hobby coding. I’m employed now and find it much easier to code purely for fun.

If I played guitar professionally then I’d probably find it hard to not think about new pieces in the context of a gig-worthy repertoire.

This is real, anytime I code I'm obsessed about RoI

This matches well with my experience so far. It’s why the chat interface has remained my preference over autocomplete in an IDE.

As are all primes!

Sure, but that doesn't answer the question, as 0 is not prime.

I would have thought https://adonisjs.com/ was the equivalent? I've not used next.js for a few years but it doesn't seem to have an answer for anything on the back-end except rendering. That only covers a tiny part of what frameworks like Spring or ASP.NET offer.

You use API routes for the backend stuff, the typical controllers, what is now known as Backend For Frontend in marketing speak.

I’ve often had this question about GDP. Does the overpriced US healthcare system contribute to it? Not throwing shade, just genuinely curious about GDP’s value as a measure.
