I still use mine every couple of weeks for movies that my family doesn’t want to watch with me.

I also use it as my hotel setup when I travel for work. It’s great having a full size monitor wherever I need. I’m excited for the coming improvements with vision os 2.0.

I’m still not comfortable using it in public, though. It feels ostentatious, but I will try it the next time I fly with the family. Having people I trust around me will make me more willing to go immersive while traveling.

> movies that my family doesn’t want to watch with me.

Movies you're watching for the plot, no doubt.

Or language learning if you're watching a foreign one.

How about between Florida and New York? Or cities in red states vs their state government? It’s not zero anymore, especially when politicians challenging federal authority (eg Texas with border control) in obviously illegal ways.

We have numerous examples - Jan 6th, the Bundy standoffs, Oklahoma City, the Black Wall Street bombings - the risk isn’t zero.

I imagine this is a recruiting video based on the hashtags used at college job fairs and postings. The age choices were intentional, IMHO.

Apple didn’t invent the smartphone, never had a the dominant share of phones sold globally. They didn’t even invent the first touchscreen phone.

Their innovation has always been marrying software and hardware. It is a high risk approach that they execute well.

It’s wild that you think anything on that Wikipedia page describes anything resembling a movement “against ‘white people’”.

You’re bending over backwards to find the context in Musk’s comment (which many, up and down this thread, have correctly criticized).

Then you take the attitude you ascribe to musk critics and apply that to a reading of an academic theory that’s not actually taught in grade schools.

This example (because of the underlying rule change) explains why this has been such a focus of the right wing and of Elon. I never really cared about that mark and didn’t understand the focus on it. Literally one of the first things they changed after the takeover.

Who was running the FBI at the time of this story? (Hint: Biden wasn’t in government at the time)

The Deep State, unelected bureaucrats who run the organizations no matter if it is a Republican or Democrat in office?

I feel that your reference was missed by too many. Bravo. Will risk the downvotes to say I appreciated it.

This is great, and I really appreciate the time you took to explain your thinking. I have similar feelings about the social networks out there, and I’m working on my own take on what I want. It’s very different than what you did, so I’m curious to try yours out and see what everyone has to say. We need more experiments like this - unabashedly anti-engagement and pro-utility.

Good luck with this!

I think you're thinking different acronyms? He meant Proof of concept?

Haha "person of colour"
