One thing I can't quite get is: why is porn a threat to Apple's security?

It's framed in the article like this 3rd-party app will compromise some aspect of Apple, but it's not really clear what. Don't iPhone users browse porn on Safari?

The parental controls works in safari and a parent can block explicit sites.

I guess that if a kid can now install an "apple approved" porn app, this is a threat to their business model of converting kids early to the Apple products ecosystem.

Brand image. Highfalutin brands like Apple don't overtly deal in vices.

surprisingly not that many

There is a huge amount more available on the channel than what is on the linked play list.

If my Pixel4a is about to explode on a plane due to bad settings, I'd really like to know about please.

I'm on Lineage so I've managed to avoid the fiasco, but it begs the question of whether the Lineage devs ought to include the battery patch if something bad is certain.

I wonder if magnetic tape will make a comeback, or if this will be a new form of flash drive

The Seven Daughters of Eve are alive and well, I see

I've read all the twilight books. Not because they were good, not because I was engaged the entire time, but for the simple fact that I wanted to know how it would end.

Why not just read the last chapter?

Because I wanted the ending to make sense, and the series kept throwing in new characters to cover up its faults, like how Christopher Nolan throws an entire orchestra to cover up lack of drama or meaningful dialogue.

Sometimes you just know you're in for a bad time, but the starting premise is interesting enough for you to want to know how it all wraps up.

Sometimes you know you’re in for a bad time and you don’t care - or even enjoy it, as long as it is distracting. Escapism and books mix very well.

Very fun.

I'm looking forward to the day that an AI tries to participate in a 100m Olympic foot race, and develops a spring-release cartwheeling method that no human has ever tried

What a horrible website. Menu-banner floating near the top, bisecting the text, and the undismissable cookie banner taking up almost 100 pixels. It was a genuine chore to read and scroll.

You should use a browser that has a "reader mode".

My AwesomeWM desktop has nice bindings (move, resize, place) + manual float controls. I rarely touch the mouse
