That's the effect of a complete lack of antitrust. In the US corporations can do the fuck they want

At least with people fighting with infertility, they want to have children, so helping them have children is more straightforward list of actions than convincing people who don't want kids to have them.
Another important difference is that at least in theory the end goal of a government is the well being of its citizens, while for private companies it is profit.
