Yep, another post on getting the domain sounds interesting.

I run my startup on a MBP with multiple VMs. It's been a love/hate affair with VirtualBox, but so far I manage to live with the shortcomings. Can't argue with free. Tried Parallel early on when truly frustrated, but found it doesn't add much over VBox to justify the price. Here are a few tips that I live by:

1. Obviously, never put critical data on a VM not matter how stable it seems. Definitely have Dropbox installed.

2. Make it a good habit to pause the VM before you pack up and go or switch to a different network. When turning it back on, disconnect the network interface then reconnect.

3. When the UI freezes, you can rescue on a Mac with AppleKey+F6 (or a few other Func keys) to another tty console. Login there and reboot. After you get the VM back, VBox likes it when you do a proper reboot before you resume working.

4. Take snapshot regularly, definitely right after you just checkin a major chunk of code!

Simple to use, clear and useful reports. Like the others have said, more reports would be nice. I'd want those about the users, time spent, country of origin, etc.

As of now, if you could make my specified time range stick, such that it is automatically applied when I switch to another report without reverting back to the default 30-day range, it would be immensely helpful.

Thanks for the good work.

That's doable, the pages already accept parameters that can override the data period, I'm just not using them at the moment. I'll add it to my todo list.

Awesome. I'd like to be notified. Got a mailing list?

Just shoot an email to songrabbit@songrabbit.com and we'll let you know once its up.

Second on all the requests above. Looking forward to the update to this soon-to-be frequently used tool of mine. Great start!

cool!

Just downloaded. Very nice! I welcome the minimalist interface. Look forward to your story on the Erlang/XMPP technology decision.

interesting

Good point. Yes, more actions on Facebook are coming, stay tuned! =(G)

@michaeldhopkins Thanks for the feedback. The game does get easier for native English speakers. Believe it or not, we've seen many non English speaking users aren't even willing to mash the keyboard. It's an intentional no-punishment approach that we leave in the game, hoping that could at least be a ramp for English learners.

Regarding your opinion on paying, did you mean that the game being too easy is a key decision criteria?

It's not challenging enough for me, but more importantly I'm not convinced it's an effective way to increase vocabulary.

I should warn you I am probably not a normal customer: I enjoy reading the OED and I think the best way to improve in English is to learn Latin...so just take this as one data point.

Outlier opinions are important! Thanks. Re Latin, the game today is a great tool to teach lexical structures, ie. prefix, suffix, word etymology in fact.
