https://github.com/dimkr/tootik is another Gemini social network that does federate over ActivityPub, and I've been thinking about developing a minimalist ActivityPub alternative (maybe using Gemini and Titan to replace HTTP GET and POST, respectively) that can coexist with ActivityPub support
This is an interesting project. So the whole thing is hosted at gemini://station.martinrue.com, with no way to host other instances? Stuff like this that leverages the default TLS nature of gemini is pretty exciting. I'm going to have to set up an account later to check it out.
Edit: Checked it out and this is definitely a cool idea. Is there any way to change the unicode emoji next to your name?
Yep, it can decohere really badly with bigger context. It's not only context related though. Sometimes it can lose focus early on in a way that is impossible to get it back on track.
inconsequential for the most part, gravity doesn't interact directly with matter (which I understand, might be still quite counterintuitive to many).
I do wonder though if it would be possible for the "ripple" to deorbit us (or any other body).
The wave moves your entire body, and the ground, all at the same time. You would not notice anything because it all moves together.
OK, not at exactly the same time - but you need specialized equipment to detect it, AKA the machines in the article. A person would not notice even a strong wave.
Ive seen it both in the Studio and via API, with various character replacements. It's weird, it's like its own dialect, the character usually corresponds to the word (or part od it) being replaced.
Yeah, and it's variable, can happen at 250k, 500k or later. When you interrogate it; usually the issue comes to it being laser focused or stuck on one specific issue, and it's very hard to turn it around.
For the lack of the better comparison it feels like the AI is on a spectrum...
Ah, Verso looks nice and active, that wasn't on my radar. I kind of lost hope after a lot of embedding tracking issues and meta-issues over the years (the ones you linked is the third one I've subscribed to I think).
