Per a Bhutanese source, it has been mining BTC since it was 5000$. Also, the electricity is free so it hasn't lost any serious money given the low expenditure. Last time BTC was 5000 was in Mar 2020 so given that they are still doing it, I don't see why this is unprofitable for them. If it was, they would have stopped by now.
Apart from the genuine OYO experts (that in itself is pathetic), you'd also end up with paid fake reviews and then again you end up with the situation where you can't trust the internet.
10k - 2k BC Humanity advanced so much during this period, Egypt, Iraq, India, China, etc. that it surprises humans as modern as of today (who consider Aliens helped them achieve such feat).
I also want to know what went wrong that the whole world went back to being illiterate villagers soon after that. (I'm betting my money on climate change).
My second choice is 2k BC - 0 because of similar reasons as mentioned by @slolean13
There was a time when we were facing daily blackouts. I was less than 10 yo. All families would come out in their respective courtyard during such times.
During one such instance, some people came to our neighbour's house. (Later I learnt they belonged to the coal mafia. And those guys had come to threaten him. In a very gentlemanly mafia style. With guns and all.) We were sitting on our stairs, counting stars and constellations (another one of my father's pastimes those days that got me interested in astronomy) and had a vantage of height to observe the whole thing. My father, for some reason, thought of indulging me. He took me on his lap and told me that when people converse, words don't matter. What matters is their intention. So it's very important to read between the lines. And to factor in the context and their role in it. He went on to explain the various intricacies of that conversation to drive his point.
Is it though? That could just read that it is citizens from other states.
I originally thought it was a cheap ploy for AZ/TX to do this, but the mayors of DC and NYC have complained and made exactly the statements that AZ/TX were soliciting. It might be a cheap ploy, but it’s been effective it seems.
And yes, even I thought the same, that DC and NY are behaving exactly how the Reps want them to. I really hoped they would handle it better when AZ sent the first buses 2-3 months ago, but alas!
