There is not a single Apple Store currently in Russia. All apple products are available online only. I think Russia will have 0 leverage to make apple to go thru all the troubles.

VISA max transactions per seconds around 65000 right now. With daily average 1700 per second and daily high around 25000 transactions per second during holidays and such. I just don't see any cryptocurrency to be able to handle that.

It's linked on the official/original github repo[0]. But the official official[1] repo doesn't link anything. Just that original developers are supporting .sh as official and have apparently moved to it.

Yes, although my understanding is that the transition will be gradual. PoW rewards will gradually decrease while PoS rewards gradually increase, facilitating the tranisitioon without all miners jumping ship. Miners who are invested in Ethereum may choose to convert their mining profits into stake.
