There's a huge interest in technology, entrepreneurship, and startups in Boston. The Boston ecosystem is incredibly unique, and I'm looking forward to addressing the need for student seed funding here. We're here to help students, so feel free to reach out to us on the site if you would like to chat!

As interesting as the finding is, it's not exactly surprising that college students learn as well from software as professors. What I want to know is whether K-12 students (especially the lower end of that) learn just as well. My intuition is no, that early childhood education will always require some amount of human educational support, but I'd love to see research confirming or denying as much.

Boomerang for Gmail is already amazing, and this seems like an even more incredible addition to streamline email + calendar scheduling.

Awesome job guys! Keep up the good work.

Should have put the code in the post title. Sorry about that! Use the invite code 'showhn' (no quotes) to skip the line :)

Ah, thanks for the heads up. I hadn't tested it extensively, but I'll fix that up.

Thanks so much Ben!

Hi everyone! I put together this page as a fun project to showcase a bit of my background and reasons I want to intern at Khan Academy this summer. Thanks HN!

It'd be great to have a product tour before providing my credentials...I don't like signing up for things based on only text. Otherwise, the copy looks great!

Wordpress if you want maximum flexibility later. Even though it gets hacked, keep it updated and use the right plugins to minimize the risk involved.

$1000 to $2000 seems reasonable for a moderately complex project (not just an HTML text page, but decent design with some complex PHP/Javascript functionality). I'm in the market for something like that.

That said, I would spec it out completely. Others may not, and so that might not be worth your time and energy. For a well spec-ed project with reasonable and agreed upon complexity, a few thousand seems reasonable.

Great idea! Maybe I missed it, but how many people do you have subscribed to begin with? Perhaps that number isn't as high now, but that would be valuable information to display if it was something high enough to attract startups and sponsors.
