Psst. 59,704,886 < 59,938,290 + 4,072,835 + 1,218,065 + 804,228

If you can't do basic arithmetic, you should lose your career in this field, imo.

And if you think ~half of the country is so horribly racist or sexist they should lose their jobs on grounds of bigotry and hate speech you've got bigger problems than the ability to do math. People just want change and Trump's offering more than just discrimination, he did well amongst white women and beat Romney's numbers with many non-white demographic groups.

He might not be my first choice, but I won't discredit all of his supporters over it.

lol I never said that. I said people who work in computer science who say that <50% is a majority have a serious problem with math and should look for work elsewhere given the nature of our field.

Fair enough, I thought you were trying to imply that because Clinton has the popular vote that that sort of opinion is okay.

The popular vote margin is razor thin and votes are still trickling in.

Whats the 4,072.. an the1,218...numbers youre adding?

National vote counts for Gary Johnson and Jill Stein, respectively.

Everyone else.

By that logic Clinton's supporters are a minority too. After all,

59,938,290 < 59,704,886 + 4,072,835 + 1,218,065 + 804,228

oh yeah for sure man

So giving a game a better review because you slept with the developer is perfectly ok?

You understand this has been disproved hundreds of times, not to mention, the "review" in question never existed?

Thought I was reading The Onion for a moment. Nobody cites Frank Bruni as a source unironically, do they?

>"...it will be harder and harder for Yale to explain what it offers for all that money except a piece of paper that says you went to Yale."

Yale has been clear about that since roughly 1693.

I think there's always been naive people in the labor force. See also: unpaid interns working at national magazines.

In the magazine industry, those are the only "jobs" at all. There are very few paying jobs (and those that do pay a non-livable wage) so you have people with degrees and a year plus experience still working for nothing (or next to nothing).

Wow yeah. HUGE oversight by The Economist, imo.

Ah yes, David Brooks, who once complained about an extravagant around-the-world trip because he couldn't stop to stare at a painting for four hours like another famous person once did. He's the worst kind of middlebrow writer.

We very much need twitter. What other platform is there for teens to say 'DADDY' to world leaders? What other platform is their for those world leaders to put their feet in their mouth? These are the important things to online bullies and comedians.

Seems a bit overwrought over a font size.

Thanks for this! I offered a FaceTime tour of our scientific robotics labs. When I was in middle school learning and playing with electronics I would've loved that.
