As a fairly old reddit user of 7 years and someone who was on digg before that, this is nothing like what happened to digg. Nobody changed the core site they just bolted an optional extra onto the side to appeal to a different audience. Not got a problem with it whatsoever.



Agreed.

Digg fucked with the fundamental architecture of how the site worked with respect to the community's interaction.

Reddit has many flaws, but it's still hands down the best method to massively consume information and share thoughts...

The ability to navigate it and engage instantly while maintaining both thread context and inside-community-culture is unmatched...


Agreed. I've been on Reddit ten(!) years now and watched Digg rise and fall from the sidelines.

This is not like that.
