In Jan London people were 'extremely unfamiliar' with Uber pool and the 'friendliness' of Londoners is far from the real one of San Franciscan. I personally ran into situation where a rider joining a pool was so not ready that she commented 'there's a man in the car' and her boy replied with 'kick him out'. I truly hope the biggest achievement of Uber could be to change Londoners' mindset.
