That's not comparable. Toyota used black box data in _court cases_ where they were being accused of negligence, and people were attempting to hold them civilly and financial liable.

This is Tesla managing their PR and saying "if you say anything bad about us, we'll publish to the world your driving history" (or in other cases, as they've already done, disable features and functions in what is supposedly your property, or downgrade the software thereof).
