It's quite strange that the lacking feature of vim was a proper and good extension language where most of the editor itself you could modify, but vis comes along and instead of a powerful language like Lisp has Lua almost tacked on.

An editor with the speed of use of vim combined with a Lisp-like language (elisp with the warts removed) would be great.
