Jira = Enterprise (for me) and Trello = Small-to-mid-sized companies and personal use. My company uses Jira (correctly) and it is great - for software. I keep all of my personal lists in Trello. Similar here. I don't see Trello and Jira overlapping for the majority of users. For simple tasks, there are still alternatives like wunderlist and taskcade.
