Rust is not a standardised language and is mostly driven by a single entity. Totally not the right tool. Also I find it very cryptic.

Totally agree.

The part of Emacs which needs a ramp-up is the Lisp layer, not the C layer.

When I read this post I just had a big 'why' in my mind.
