You literally just argued why it is demonstrably true. If a Titan X, Ti, or standard 1080 can get to 4K 60 on max then buying an Titan X or Ti is nothing more than bragging rights.
Nobody is arguing that the Ti isn't more powerful, just that that power likely doesn't buy you anything specific, all you've done is show how that is true.
