"By hijacking the signal going into the transmitter, the hacker seemingly managed to trigger all of the sirens at once."

This sentence doesn't make sense, more than likely they figured out the system needed to trigger the sirens and broadcast it to trigger them. Reminds me of the old days when all it would take to hack a radio stations remote broadcast or a drive-thru order was an opened up vhf/uhf ham radio.
