It looks like the old Mini mated with an AppleTV; could this be a sign that Apple may be giving up on the AppleTV "hobby"?

It's probably safe to say the x86-based, Front Row-displaying AppleTV is over.
As for an ultra-thin, A4 ARM-based AppleTV running iOS... I'd watch that space.
