Why the vitriol? Forums are as close to being "cult-like" as it gets. They are effectively a subreddit in the form of a website.

As to the claim of reddit dying within four years, lol! I'll take that bet.

MySpace is a social network based on friends, yes it feels like one community.

Forums have topics, reddit doesn't have topics, subreddits have topics.
