I'm a freelance React, Node, & Python full stack web developer with strong product sense. Experience with health tech startups and real estate technology startups.
I am a programmer and writer who loves working with startups and small businesses to help them grow their audience by improving their website copy and providing them with high-quality technical blog posts and other long-form writing. I am available on a per-project basis.
I am a native English speaker and well-rounded developer with a focus on building websites with Django. To discuss topics, schedules, and rates, please send me an email to philip [at] kiely (dot) xyz.
I'm a software engineer with 16 years of programming experience. I've helped startups get started and big companies keep going.
If you have web projects, then there's a good chance I've worked on something similar before and will be able to hit the ground running. If you need more general programming, I can do it. If you're doing something a bit esoteric, that would definitely suit me – I've done FPGAs, network protocols, speech recognition, more ETL than you can shake a stick at, and devising novel algorithms.
I consider myself a polyglot programmer and haven't found a language I can't be productive in yet. In the last 5 years I've written (at least) C#, Java, Python, Javascript (browser and Node.js), and Ruby professionally.
I'm friendly and easy-going, enjoy mentoring and working with other developers. I just delighted a client by delivering everything they wanted for a highly speculative project in 80% of the planned time, despite the project having completely failed twice previously before I was involved.
I'm happiest on fixed-term projects that I can complete on a schedule that suits both of us, and my clients have been very happy with this process too.
SEEKING WORK: Embedded/IoT development, development process consulting, product quality consulting
Location: Munich, Germany
Remote: preferred
I'm an experienced (>10 years) software engineer with management experience. I have a master's in mechanical engineering.
I've worked on all stages of embedded products, from product management, to specification, to coding, testing, and qualification. A lot of my career was spent working on safety-critical systems up to ASIL D / SIL4.
How I could help you:
* advise in improving the quality of your product
* close gaps in your team's embedded development expertise
* organise and manage your development efforts
* provide training
* bring automated tests and continuous integration to your embedded projects (DevOps for embedded!)
* close gaps in your team's embedded development expertise
* help you comply with safety regulations
my current projects:
* training and advising several German Fortune 500 companies on DevOps
* managing a small, experienced team in the development of an industrial robot
* advising a multinational company in the development of a highly safety-critical (ASIL D)
automotive electronics component
* advising a startup in the IoT development tooling space
* coaching a startup team on improving their development workflow
I make software. Unlike many developers, I don't specialize in a particular language or toolset. Instead, I'm comfortable working with most anything. Need a plugin for Adobe Lightroom written in Lua? A memory tester written in Forth? An AVR firmware written in C? Those are all things I've worked on. Something else? I'm comfortable jumping in to it. If you need a very conventional website built with Rails, Django, Flask, or Sinatra, well... I can do that too.
I'm looking for projects ranging from hours to months.
Stuff I know well: Clojure, Ruby (with or without Rails), Python, Django, Javascript, Lua, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SASS, responsive CSS.
Other stuff I've used for something non-trivial at least once: Common Lisp, Scheme, Java, SASS, C, PHP, Haskell, Bash, Perl, MongoDB, Mirah, Android development with Clojure, React Native with Clojurescript. Yes, I can probably pick up that language or tool you're using that nobody has ever heard of.
I'm an backend developer, system administrator, automation expert with over 15 years of experience in various programming languages, open source technologies, systems integration, administration...
* https://8h.sk - speed optimized job search engine, built from scrapping to full-text search
* SQL query and table structure optimization for 10x speedup of ETL data loading to DWH (+ reporting and alarming tools)
* build tools to automatize rolling upgrades, switch-over of legacy systems, multi-action scheduling
* Multi vendor SLA Monitoring (CMDB, Prometheus, Grafana, Collectd, Postgresql...)
Hey there! I'm a full stack web developer who's worked with S&P 500 companies, agencies and individuals
to create fast, responsive applications that combine tricky technical problem solving with solid UI/UX.
Current availability: Available starting May.
Recent hits:
- Led development of a search application with an expected $3.5m ROI, rewriting the entire backend to use fulltext search, improving response times by over 90%.
- Turned around a responsive redesign of a React/Redux application in a week for a SaaS company, allowing the company to renew the contract that was funding development.
- Prototyped a TypeScript-to-Kotlin compiler with the eventual goal of sharing code across three platforms, avoiding triplicate development efforts.
Here are some of the technologies I'm most comfortable with, for those of you CTRL-Fing down the page :)
• Services: Solution design and development that your business needs. APIs, Mobile Apps, Internet of Things, Websites, SaaS.
My name is Daniel. I am the General Manager of the remote-first IT consultancy company TDCM.io and at the same time a Software Engineer with over ten years of professional experience. I am here to offer help of myself and the top-notch professional team behind me to solve your technical problem. Whether it is a short-term project or a long term commitment, we are ready for it. With a vastly experienced team, we can approach and solve almost any problem. Extended team model is natural to us, but TDCM.io can provide product development team for your business.
Drop me a line with your technical needs and be sure to hear from me soon.
I've spent the last decade developing custom software solutions to solve business problems. I've worked for billion dollar enterprises delivering software for consumer electronics. I've led a team of developers to modernize a companies systems to make them more maintainable and quicker to iterate. I've introduced best practices such as source control, continuous integration, code reviews, and testing to improve workflow and reliability.
I can help your company develop custom software specifically designed for your needs. I also provide services to smaller business that can't justify a full time architect where I will come in as needed and help architect a system or diagnose the reliability of existing systems while providing suggestions on how to improve.
Bogged down by bugs? Tangled up in legacy projects?
Dealing with issues in existing code saps developers energy and enthusiasm, draining the creativity from your team and slowing you down. Let me help you relieve the pressure by taking over the tasks that weigh down your team so they can concentrate their energies on moving your project, product or company forward.
A longtime Django developer (since 1.2) I have the experience, temperament and tenacity to deal with all the day-to-day distractions you have. I provide a fresh pair of eyes and a willing pair of hands to help you free up resources and get you going.
I work with the typical Django stack: jQuery/Bootstrap, Django/Django Rest Framework, Redis/Memcached/Celery, PostgreSQL, Fabric/Ansible.
For newfangled apps, Vue.js is my front-end framework of choice.
For a detailed description of who I am and what I do, please see:
A self-driven software engineer with 4+ years of international experience in the IT industry, I've been learning from experiences at small startups, mid-sized and public companies. I've been working as full-stack engineer during the first years of my career, gradually moving into a more specialised area. I'm currently an independent contractor
- I'm currently focussed on Backend using mostly Golang
- I'm comfortable working with the AWS infrastructure and I can own the code I produce from specification to production if necessary
- I use modern containerisation technologies such as Docker and well-known development practices like Domain Driven Design
- I've had experience working with Serverless technology mostly using AWS Lambda and with queues systems like AWS SQS and RabbitMQ
- I’ve had exposure to service oriented and micro-services architecture
- I strongly prefer working in agile environments and practicing XP (pair programming, TDD, small releases, CI/CD, collective code ownership, coding standards)
Acceptable timezones: between -4 and +3 hrs from UTC
This is a long term role.
We're hiring a front-end developer (NodeJS, ReactJS, Typescript) to join our team of 5 remote developers (incl. the engineering manager onsite in Copenhagen).
Experience working remotely. Minimum 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
90% of all goods are transported in containers. The largest container vessels can take on 20,000 containers at a time. The industry is struggling like never before, and is fundamentally inefficient: 50% of all container vessels globally are delayed coming into port, most communication is conducted through phone and even fax, paper is still used in abundance, there can be over 15 process handovers moving a container, and there are large regional differences in performance among players.
We want to change that, and bring the industry into the digital age. Portchain (www.portchain.com) is a Danish startup founded by 3 McKinsey alums in February 2017 that aims to significantly reduce operational cost and complexity for all players while providing industry leading customer experience.
We have paying customers and starting to get traction through pilot projects, therefore looking for 1 new member to join our team.
From 2005 until 2015 I ran my own development company. Since 2015 I’ve been using that experience to help companies and development teams take ‘the next step’. The next step in delivering higher quality products, the next step in gaining higher developer velocity and the next step in being a more predictable in planning and outcome.
I strongly believe the following factors help in taking this next step: 1. Never compromise in code quality. 2. Standardize as much as possible (to prevent reinventing the wheel and focus on adding value) 3. Automate everything 4. Create a safe to fail environment.

SEEKING FREELANCER. Philadelphia & New York. Local only.
We are a development shop that focuses on software craftsmanship. Our calling is to help companies create amazing, intuitive web & mobile applications, APIs, products, and services.
Pair programming, continuous integration & delivery, kaizen, and TDD/BDD aren't just ideas we pay lip service to, but core practices of our day-to-day work.
We love polyglots. We use lots of Ruby, Python, Elixir, and JavaScript (mostly React and React-Native).
As PromptWorks grows, so does demand on our engineering team. We often find ourselves fielding development inquiries from excellent clients working outside our preferred stacks and expertise or we occasionally don’t have enough staff to fill out a team with employees. In those cases, we like to work with seasoned, versatile contractors that are excited to dive in. We are seeking experienced freelance engineers to mutually expand our business.
Hello, just saw your this posting for your company for a freelancer...also.wanted to find out if you have an email address to contact you and learn more about some of these openings as a relates to the Python tech stack? Thanks
Experience in the following domains: Quantitative Finance, Insurance Technology, Recycling & Waste Management Technology.
I enjoy solving business problems with software and diving into various domains and building solutions that have a material impact on the bottom line. One of my best performing projects (continues to save millions annually) required 70% digging into a problem domain and 30% coding. Another recent project I'm proud of is an ML-powered pricing engine that's given a $250+M funded competitor's service in the space a run for it's money. I've produced results working both as a member of a technical team and independently (working directly with key stakeholders/executives).

Please send me an email at hiring@greynote.io with your resume, github, previous projects, etc.
SEEKING WORK - London - Remote preferred, happy to visit you anywhere in the UK.
DevOps / Python consultant with a decade's experience building, hosting and fixing applications.
I work with engineering teams to make their products as scalable and robust as possible. AWS, Kubernetes, load testing, lambdas, CI, deploy systems, monitoring, config management, security audits, dev projects of my own - you name it I've done it.
Recent projects include:
+ Re-hosting a large microservice node.js + RethinkDB web application on Google Cloud. The resulting stack (serving a busy news site) is deployed to GKE with a set of Helm charts and a minimal amount of custom tooling for CDN & image serving. GKE has turned out to be low-maintenance and rock solid; I'll be glad to work with it again.
+ Rewriting a Python big data stack for a bioscience client. Result was a robust, scalable system deployed with Terraform/Docker to spot instances managed by AWS Batch. Benefits included better resilience, higher resource utilisation and vastly reduced cost/processing time.
+ AWS/Kubernetes/Docker deployment to support a large distributed (15 microservices + persistence layer) application. Updated a sprawling Django/Postgres app to fit modern containerised hosting, resulting in a stack that makes great use of k8s' scaling & resiliency features. Templating via Helm for multiple, namespaced stack instances & continuous integration.
+ Another AWS/k8s/Docker stack, this time with a persistence layer comprising Cassandra & Kafka with service discovery through Zookeeper. Prometheus & Grafana for monitoring.
+ Large multithreaded Python 3 application for automated crypto trading. Didn't get rich, still posting on here.

SEEKING WORK | New York, NY nyc | Remote or onsite in NYC
Software Engineer experienced building Tech companies.
Have worked at Startups and large companies. Comfortable eliciting requirements, writing specs and developing the solution on time⏱⏱⏱⏱⏱.
Have worked fullstack, mobile, devops, conversion funnel optimization and machine learning. Developed software used by thousands of paying customers
I run a machine learning and data science dev agency (https://arialabs.io), particularly for high growth startups and established companies, usually for big projects. How it usually works is we talk with you to figure out your problems, and solve them with a custom assembled team from around the world.
We also do projects integrating web apps with backend machine learning pipelines. For example, we created a messenger app that automatically runs machine learning prediction jobs in the background and displays them through the app.
Technologies:
- Python
- TensorFlow
- Keras
- Pandas
- Other ML and DS related libraries
- Web technologies
- React, Vue, other JS libraries
- Node and other backend technologies
Problems solved:
- Clients (lab scientists) wanted to efficiently clean and categorize lab research data. We ran OCR on the handwriting, and used NLP to categorize the types of data from a previous training dataset with a 95% accuracy level.
- Client (a big consulting company with many employees traveling) wanted a messenger app to book flights and hotels directly from various messengers such as Slack. We used NLP to automatically parse and identify intent for the incoming data from these messengers, searched optimal flight and hotel combos, sent the data back through the messengers, and automatically booking these flights and hotels if wanted, saving many hours of manual searching by executive assistants.
- Client (an Amazon product seller) wanted to raise and lower prices based on product demand in real time. We built a custom solution that would analyze many factors on Amazon to figure out when and under which conditions to set a specific price for each product.
Price: $100k+ USD. The clients above either saved or made tens to hundreds of times more in revenue through our efforts.

The R&D team is small and made of outsanding tech veterans that are looking for only one thing: just deliver the best product ever.

I have 6 years experience as a Laravel developer and 4 more before that as a PHP/Web developer. Previously I was CTO of a startup (Designer Wardrobe) - I took that website from a 5 page MVP to a massive codebase that served around 3 million hits/month. More recently I helped another company speed up an important API they were having trouble with, I took the loading time from > 5 seconds to ~300ms without any breaking changes.
I currently run my own startup and I am seeking part time consulting work to help me bootstrap.
My main expertise is JS/Node. I worked with Node from 0.6x in production, recently started committing to Node.js.
I'm offering help with:
- Custom logging and metrics integration (not just clicks and page views)
- L10n, I18n
- Interactive D3 visualisations
- Making your app with Vanilla JS (no trendy bullshit)
- Custom development tooling for your app, codegen
- Making APIs and App Models that are pleasant to use

I'll A/B test the heck out of your copy (and design) if you have the traffic. Not quite there? Let's work on your search strategy instead.
I've been designing and building apps and web platforms for the last 10+ years, currently freelancing with a small team. SEEKING WORK | Seattle, WA | Front-End Web Dev & Design
I have 5 years experience in full-stack Web development (focusing on front-end). I specialize in custom tools to improve productivity. My latest example is Badgemaker (http://badgemaker.zjm.me/).
Whether you need a design from scratch, a redesign, or you're having issues with a small part of you product, I can design it.
* Development *
My design chops are only a part of my skillset. I actually prefer to both design and build the design since I believe some things can't be communicated with design tools. Knowing how they will function and then implementing it yourself removes a lot of wasted time that would otherwise be spent on trying to communicate exactly how that design will function.
* Analysis *
When you are deeply involved in your own product it can be hard to see things from an outsiders prospective. Your users know everything that's wrong with your product but have a difficult time getting their words around the subject and it often comes out in anger, if they reach out at all. That's where my usability and experience analysis comes in. I'll review your app from an outside and expert point which will give you actionable feedback. More here: https://gilli.is/analysis
* Free advice *
Reach out if you need any advice. You might not be sure if I am the right fit and I very well might not be. I can help you figure out the best direction to go in. There might be a better solution out there for you.
