I am a bit confused here. If I am in a dark room and I close my eyes, all I see is black. I cannot, however hard I try, visualize the beach in my field of "vision" in front of me. However, if I relax I can picture the beach and the emerald water and white caps and the pier going out into it. But those images are ... further back in my head, not in front of my eyes.
