I that guy suggesting multitouch on a car touchscreen? That seems terrible. I find just swipe scrolling extremely awkward at arm's length (and this is with CarPlay so it's not just due to weird car UI acceleration curves)

Multitouch is easier to do blind, instead of having to focus on the screen though.
