TI(also)L:

Kawa [Polish for coffee] is a language framework written in the programming language Java that implements the programming language Scheme, a dialect of Lisp, and can be used to implement other languages to run on the Java virtual machine (JVM). It is a part of the GNU Project.

Interesting. Why not use Clojure which runs on the JVM?

I've used both Clojure and Scheme (lazy racket) and find them both interesting. The part about Kawa that's novel is that it can be used to make other languages that run on the JVM.
