When referencing baby genital mutilation, it might be worth dropping the "female".
It's just as horrible to slice up a male baby's genitalia, and it's done much more often.
I wonder how much more prevalent phimosis would be if infant circumcision weren’t a thing, though. Speaking from experience here, lol, adult circumcision was not fun.
