You could probably replace "CS degree" and 'program' with a lot of different degrees and vocations. This is what people seem to fail to understand about collage, anything worth doing takes far more effort then making it through 4 years of college. All college does (at least the first 4 years) is get one ready for the lifetime of learning that is ahead.
