"Joel Finkelstein is the director of the Network Contagion Research Institute, which tracks hateful ideology online. He says that Facebook has become a key place for members of the Boogaloo movement to organize, recruit and discuss communication strategies through the use of private groups."
Earlier this month. I don't see how anyone who has had any experience with Facebook can not know that it is crammed full of violent neo-fascists.
One of the features I loved facebook for was meme groups. There are some really good ones, and many more quite awful ones. And once you join one shitposting group, facebook thinks you need to join all the shitpost groups -- and vice verse; non-private groups attract members from all tarnation. And that's how I came to meet neo-fascists on facebook, despite having about a dozen carefully selected, non-fascist, IRL-first friends. And then I quit the site after it started pushing far-right content on me after consistently negative reactions to the same.
