But isn't this just another thing people download to run benchmarks and then the result is uploaded?

Anyway, answering my own question: multiple results have been uploaded in the past two days and uploaded by anonymous users. Maybe tech reviewers running it with devices they received early?

Reviewers receive units at least a couple of weeks before launch with strict embargoes not to talk about it or publish anything.

Also large developers like Adobe, Microsoft would have had retail units months ago to help with final testing.
