Hey YC community, yesterday we completed our 8 weeks streak at Startup School and we were awarded the certificate. The YC SuS journey has been very exciting for us as first-time founders.

I would love to share some of our key learnings from the program(so far):

1. Setting your goals and KPI's: weekly updates have been our favorite thing from SuS, it helped us to set and track our goals, we were also sharing weekly updates with our users to keep us motivated.

2. SuS library: learning from the resources and the curated content for the track was very helpful for what we needed to know at that exact moment.

3. SuS community: learning horizontally from fellow founders has been a great experience, we also joined weekly meetings to talk to fellow founders and share learnings, and get feedback.

After a couple of weeks of SuS updates, we were facing issues with submitting our weekly updates timely, without wasting time, so we built an internal Slack bot to solve it, it helped us curate all our weekly items to update on SuS. We only later figured out it's a common problem with remote teams.

We built the app in a day or two and made it available to our initial users and continued to build with user's feedback for the other use cases on Slack.

We used SuS to pivot from what we were originally building, we started with a new slack app last week, In the last 4 days, we have 20 companies signed up, with more in the pipeline.

We are onboarding all of our users personally. We are in the process of getting approved by the Slack directory, once that is done, the Poppins app will be listed on Slack.

I'm thankful to all the mentors here at YC, especially Michael Seibel, Dalton Caldwell, Kevin Hale, and Adora Cheung.

We're building Poppins, a Slack app to get rid of information overload and make Slack digestible.
