And the new owners of OpenVMS are busy beavering away on an OpenVMS port to the amd64 platform and most software should compile cleanly so I've read. Can't wait !!!

VMS Software has released the x86_64 port of OpenVMS recently. However it is not currently available under the hobbyist program. They say that is coming soon.

Someone should tell them their website still says "VMS Software, Inc. is porting OpenVMS to x86", present continuous case.
