Mexico to sue U.S.-based gunmakers over flow of arms across border (washingtonpost.com)

Can we sue Mexico for the humanitarian crisis on our border, too?

The crisis caused by the US training low-level offenders into hardened criminals in its laughably misnamed “correctional” systems and then deporting them to Central American countries where they become prime actors in the destabilization of those countries which produces a refugee crisis impacting Mexico as well as the US?

No, not really, both because of the absence of a legal basis for any such suit, and because it wouldn't be targeting the responsible actor.

The one created by the violence from gangs using American guns?

Is it the victims fault that they were shot by the gangs because the gang members were too poor and repressed to make good decisions? Or is it the fault of the people actually committing the crimes?

Our civilization is facing a severe inference/causality deficit, it would seem, in favor of self-destructive empathy, c.f. Nietzche's Master/Slave Morals Duality.

Oh please. If every gun and manufacturer disappeared overnight in the US the cartels would find another method for violence.

Neat. Let's make it hard AF for them and see what happens.

We're coming for your stuff, too, lol

The cartels will source from other places if not from the US. China has a very heavy hand in drug manufacturing and would surely want to protect their product should all arms be removed.

The one created by the illegal drug demands of Americans?

Out of curiosity how come there are no down vote buttons on comments in this thread?
