This isn’t true at all. Maybe in some locations (Silicon Valley? I don’t know), but every job I’ve been on has needed top level programmers for critical applications that have real world value.
They need senior level programmers, but most of them are not willing to pay much more than junior level salaries, because they think they just need copy-paste programmers.
