I do not understand why they are playing games with these numbers. According to the CDC[1], 4.66/100,000 people fully vaccinated against Covid19 have been hospitalized due to Covid19. That number is 7.5 times as high as the president cited. I am sure the combination of "over the summer" and "per day" can be used to justify that lower number, but when you have to go through these contortions, it undermines trust.
