Is that a good bang for the pound even after the price drop? (cost/performance ratio)

The processor is very efficient. Four cores at 3,6GHz, and can support up to 128GB of RAM. Even AMD can't beat that.

Ryzen 3100 can do the same, at the same price point, and was released 5 months earlier than 10100F.

Good for Intel for finally catching up?

Good luck finding a 3100 at less than 100 euro though.

Why would you want 128GB of RAM without ECC support, something totally mainstream at AMD?

I have ECC RAM on my servers. I don't care for it on my desktop rig.
