A Prototype Neo Socratic Space+Time Trajectory Dialog (docs.google.com)

Dear Hacker News,

What if we, code monkeys, are destined to continue Albert Einstein's great quest?

Last week I was wrangling some nasty nested json. Maybe you have done similar work. I started fiddling with generic traits in python 3.10. It felt suspiciously easy to convert any arbitrary thought directly into code, once I had an easy way to do duck typing.

Anyway, I started having a fake conversation with myself, just asking dumb Socratic questions, and randomly stumbled on what appeared to be, new physics! New to me, anyway…

What if Space+Time is a statement about Duck Typing?

What if Epictetus' "dichotomy of control" is both a statement about about functional purity (1000s of years ago) and also the best way to explain quantum weirdness? (more externals, less freedom)

What if AI is the engineering branch of philosophy? Is that more or less scary re: Overlords?

Structure = persistence over time Function = change over time Trajectory = Structure + Function Truthy = that which agent believes Falsy = that which agent does not believe Information = that which reduces uncertainty about Truthy and Falsy Computation = Information + Trajectory Simulation = Computation + Random + Unroll Simulation = Information + Trajectory + Random + Unroll Reality = Probabilistic + Trajectory + Random + Unroll Probabilistic = ? Probabilistic = that about which agent is uncertain Probabilistic == Information? Isn't information all about probability? Reality = Information + Trajectory + Random + Unroll Reality == Simulation >>> True

Anyway, how can we formulate new Space+Time Trajectory Theories to explicitly model common abstract patterns about the ways things move over time?

Thank you for your work and thank you for taking the time to read (as much or as little as you wish)
