Small data structures (online book) (cix.co.uk)

This title is incorrect and somewhat misleading. The link points to the homepage of an online book titled: "Small Memory Software - Patterns for systems with limited memory."

You're right, it should be changed.

However, if what you're really interested in is small data structures, Chapter 5 deals exclusively with this topic.

...or did you find this chapter, and expect something different out of it?

see ch.5

Is it so difficult to export the book into html, so that pdf reader will not crash my browser?

The PDF reader works fine for me - No crashes, Chrome 15 on Ubuntu 11.

I'd rather look at a nicely typeset and easily printable PDF (see an example from this book here: http://i.imgur.com/ZTq4s.png), and let the authors spend their time improving the paper, than an HTML version.

All else being equal I'll take more unicorn, please.

But the point is that PDFs aren't very compatible compared to HTML. Nor are they very versatile. You're limited to viewing them as intended (which may not fit your screen, eyes, or task very well) and searching is usually limited to a non-regexp find.

Funny, for me "limited memory" means 50 GB these days...

My last space-constrained project, I had 1920 bytes to work with.

It's amazing what functionality you can cram into that amount of code, without really trying all that hard.

(Then going back to C# tools and having GB of RAM to muck with, that's fun).
