So far, my best experience has been on a LaptopsForLinux laptop. Every feature I expect to work on a laptop works (which is surprising when you're using Linux). I did try and buy another "made for Linux"-type laptop, which was some Entroware model, but I remember experiencing a lack of Hibernate and poor battery life.
I also tried a Dell XPS, but there were some BIOS problems, the keyboard layout was awful (which is not a Linux problem), and Hibernate was spotty at best.
Bad keyboard layout was also a problem with the Entroware.
Hibernate works perfectly on my LaptopsForLinux model. :+1: I just wish there was a keyboard protector in case I spill coffee on it.
Maybe laptop nirvana will finally be reached with the Framework when it finally reaches these shores. [EDIT] It has arrived.
