A long time ago, I have encountered (on HN, I think) a marvelous gallery of portraits of important figures of the building of internet, unix (Rob Pike, Tim, ...) I have already spend a lot of time googling. I have a presentation to give on saturday. Any help would be welcome.
The sheer number of people coming before those like Tim Berners-Lee and Marc Andreessen is a bit enlightening as well.
Aside: Your post got me wondering if there's a list somewhere of all people in computing etc whose contributions have been significant enough to receive the "black bar" on HN when they die.
